2 Days Gorilla Trek & Lake Mutanda

Uganda is well known as a Tourism Destination thanks to the Mountain Gorillas that chose Uganda as their preferred home. Tourists and Visitors to Uganda can enjoy a gorilla trekking safari over a short 3 days time span. Gorillas are found in the dense forests of Bwindi in Southern Western Uganda and this is very accessible by daily scheduled flights from Entebbe Airport as you Explore Uganda . Its takes approximately 45 minutes flight to Kisoro Airstrip near Bwindi Forest.

Brief 2 Days Gorilla Trek & Lake Mutanda from Kisoro Itinerary

Day 1: Gorilla Trekking
We awake early morning to a hearty breakfast, in the middle of the Jungle and then proceed to the briefing point for the 8am briefing session. After a brief from the park guides on the do’s and don’ts and what to expect for the Trek, we set for the Jungle for an encounter of a lifetime with the mountain gorillas. The trek can take anywhere between 2 to 6 hours depending on how far the gorillas are. We return to the Lodge and relax waiting for the next day because the activity is tiresome

Day 2: Lake Mutanda Boat ride and Community Tour.
After breakfast, we visit and interact with the local batwa and bafumbira communities. This visit enables you get an insight of how these local residents live in this part of the world and how they perceive life, this information is quite enriching. We take a lunch break and head for the boat ride on lake mutanda , quite soothing and amazing views of the virungas.
