Brief 5 Days Best of Kisoro Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Hike to Mt. Mgahinga
We depart for the hike at 8am, accompanied by experienced guides. Here we shall enjoy amazing views of the virunga volcanoes, views of Bwindi Impenetrable forest, plus the amazing undulating landscape of Kisoro. Have lunch .in the afternoon we set off for the visit to the historical caves dinner and over night at gorilla safari camp or Buhoma community camp

Day 2: Eco trip to lake Mutanda
The trip will start after breakfast and it will take you through gentle sloping hills that will give you a clear view of the border between Uganda and Democratic Republic of Congo in a distance. Upon arriving at Lake Mutanda, you will see others diving into the lake waters. You will also take a boat to enjoy canoeing to encounter different species of birds. The lake is also a perfect viewing spot of the Virunga Volcanoes. After lunch, you will travel to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Overnight at Amajambere Iwacu Community Camp.

Day 3: Gorilla tracking experience
you will leave for gorilla tracking very early in the morning. the gorilla trekking adventure will begin with a briefing by the national guide on how to handle yourself once you enter the home of the “endangered species”. The trip can take about 3 to 9 hours deepening on how far the gorillas are inside the forest. Get hold of your camera as you will be able to take lots of photos. There is no doubt that will be “a remarkable experience”

Day 4: Canoe ride on lake bunyonyi and bird watching
After breakfast, Depark for Lake Bunyonyi and embark on a canoe experience as well as bird watching on the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi, traversing to the gorgeous Kyabahinga peninsula. Here you will be gladly welcomed with songs plus dances by the resident school children. You will enjoy with the locals at least a cup of “Obushera” which is a local brew. You will ascend the Kyabahinga slopes having a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the birdlife and the verdant terrain. The view is very breathtaking!

Day 5: Kisoro community tour and cultural dance
After breakfast , with our experienced guide you will had for the kisoro community tour were we shall be able to see how the local people deep in the villages of Kisoro live their life , since most of them do farming ,we shall experience how farming is done . After lunch in the afternoon we experience the cultural performance of the local people in kisoro which one of the unforgettable experience.
